Mason's 2nd Birthday!!!

Our little baby turned 2 last Tuesday, the 22nd.  So hard to believe that 2 years has already gone by and that he's really no longer a "baby" anymore.  He has grown up and changed so much already.  He is really developing quite a personality, he makes me laugh everyday, even though some of the laughter is a result of his naughtiness;)!!!  He and Nolan are now sharing a bedroom so that when baby comes we have Mason's old room available.  Apparently it was a great time to get him out of his crib, because just after doing so he wanted to play in it for a bit and started climbing out!  One of his favorite words lately, naughty but funny, is "butthole."  He can say a lot of things that are hard to understand, however, "butthole" comes out plain as day!!!  It's very hard not to smile and laugh, which we don't do in front of him, but it is really pretty funny.  At this point I'm pretty sure he knows he's not supposed to say it, but does it anyway and then gets a big grin on his face;).  When you tell him something, he tells you the opposite.  No matter what...he likes to argue for the sake of arguing, his personality is all about stubborn...sometimes you win, sometimes you lose.  He is so independent and has to do everything himself...which is much the opposite of how his brother is.  He picks his nose, something Nolan never did and still doesn't.  He will say, "got boogies Mama, got boogies..." meanwhile his finger is jammed all the way up his nose!!!!
He totally has a mind of his own, and there is never a dull moment w/ him around.  He cracks me up.  A few weeks ago while the boys were supposed to be sleeping in bed, we heard a thud.  I went to check on them and walked into their room to see Mason chucking stuffed animals at a peaceful sleeping Nolan!!  After telling him no and tucking him back in, Matt went to check on them a few minutes later.  This time Mason was sitting up in bed, digging in his nose, flicking his boogers toward Nolan...oh, what brotherly love!!!  Such a stinker!!!!!
He insists on wearing underwear even though he's no where near being potty trained, and doesn't really want anything to do w/ it.  Sometimes he will insist on having 3 pairs on!!!  He is also such a cuddler, and loves to be held.  He is always telling Matt or myself, "hode me...hode me!", actually hold me.  He tells us he loves us w/out being prompted, and loves when we tell him we love him.  He loves his brother more than anything.  He copies everything Nolan does, and wants to know where Nolan is 24/7.  Although they already fight and bicker, they truly share such a unique bond and friendship.  It's so sweet to watch them playing and enjoying life together.  A few days ago when Matt got up for work, he checked on the boys and walked into their room to see them both in the same bed;)!!!  Just about every morning Nolan will come into our bed, and shortly after Mason will follow.  Well, on this day Nolan must have decided our room was too far and climbed into Mason's bed instead.  It was such a precious site, the 2 of them snuggled up in one little toddler bed;).
We didn't do a big party for Mason this year, most of my family was out of town.  So we went to Matt's parents and had a little celebration w/ his side of the family.  I think Mason had a blast, especially when he finally started to realize the day was actually about him...which took much convincing;)!!!  He and his Great-Grandma Moulds share the same b-day, so we had cake for them both and they got to celebrate together:)!!
