On Wednesday, July 7th, we went to a Detroit Tiger's game w/ the whole Kennedy clan. We have made it an annual adventure, and stay for a night after the game. Last year Matt and I and Mason didn't go because my step-dad Bob had just passed away, but Nolan still went with the rest of the Kennedy family. This year would be the 3rd year for the trip. We went to a night game this year, and somehow managed to go on a 95 degree day...and it was still 92 degrees at the start of the game. Although we all still had a great time, it was very HOT!!! I did end up taking the boys into the air conditioned "beer hall" for some lemonade and hot dogs for a few innings of the game just to cool them down. We stayed at the Greektown Casino Hotel, so after the game my wonderful in-laws LuAnne and Larry watched all of the boys while Matt and I and Jason and Beth snuck away to the casino for a while...come to find out so did Larry, lol!!! So, thanks LuAnne (and Larry;-)), for giving us a break!!! I think we all came out ahead also, which is not something Matt and I can usually say:)!! We had a really fun trip and made some great memories!!!
