Fun w/ Nonnie!!!

Obviously I'm now trying to play catch up w/ the blog...so I'm trying to get some pics posted of some of the fun things we have done over the last few months.  When my Mom, "Nonnie", came back from Florida, we went to her house and the boys played in the park w/ her and my sister, Alicia, "Aunt Lala".  It was pretty funny to see Nonnie and Lala going down the slide and especially funny to see Nonnie trying to climb through the tube on the jungle gym;)!!!  We all had a great day!!!

We have also gone to visit the horses at the farm that Nonnie works at...I think when we went there were at least 5 babies that we got to see.  One of Nolan's favorite things to do!!!  Nolan is a huge animal lover and absolutely loves to doing anything to do with animals.  He loves the zoo, and loves going to the pet store, loves the butterfly exhibit @ FMG's, and loves any kind of farm...his dream some day is to own a farm with a barn and animals...anytime he makes a wish, that is what he wishes for:)!!!  Mason seems to also be developing a love for animals also, and is already following in his brother's footsteps.  It's great for me because these are all things I love as well!!!!

We have also gone to the Kalamazoo Air Zoo w/ Nonnie, and have made a couple of trips to FMG's...most recently to check out the Chihuly exhibit!!

Hanging out @ Papa Rick and Grammy Tammy's (Father's Day & Dad's B-day)!!

On Father's Day we celebrated Father's Day along w/ my Dad's birthday.  The kids always have a great time running around outside either fishing for golfballs in the pond, or fishing for fish in the pond!!!  All of the cousins took their turn at fishing and everyone seemed to have a catch!!!  Whenever we are there the kids always LOVE going for rides on Papa's golf cart, and are always asking to go...Papa enjoys taking them too;)!!!

This picture cracks me up...Mason has his finger up his nose...it was an attempt at a family pic;)!!

Tiger's Game

On Wednesday, July 7th, we went to a Detroit Tiger's game w/ the whole Kennedy clan.  We have made it an annual adventure, and stay for a night after the game.  Last year Matt and I and Mason didn't go because my step-dad Bob had just passed away, but Nolan still went with the rest of the Kennedy family.  This year would be the 3rd year for the trip.  We went to a night game this year, and somehow managed to go on a 95 degree day...and it was still 92 degrees at the start of the game.  Although we all still had a great time, it was very HOT!!!  I did end up taking the boys into the air conditioned "beer hall" for some lemonade and hot dogs for a few innings of the game just to cool them down.  We stayed at the Greektown Casino Hotel, so after the game my wonderful in-laws LuAnne and Larry watched all of the boys while Matt and I and Jason and Beth snuck away to the casino for a while...come to find out so did Larry, lol!!!  So, thanks LuAnne (and Larry;-)), for giving us a break!!!  I think we all came out ahead also, which is not something Matt and I can usually say:)!!  We had a really fun trip and made some great memories!!!

Busy, Busy, Busy...but life is GOOD!!!

Well, when I started this blog I knew I'd be guilty of not keeping up w/ it @ times...and that seems to be the case:)  I was so proud of myself for getting it up and running, and now we have been so busy that I haven't had any time to keep it current and I apologize!!!  Now that summer is here we have been running non-stop, and seem to be gone all the time...our yard work falls behind, our house is a mess, and the laundry seems to pile up...but we are having a blast!!!  Matt is on two softball leagues on Tuesday and Thursday nights and the boys and I try to go to his games as often as we can.  The boys love to go, and play w/ their little friends at the games.  We have made several trips to the zoo, the park, Millenium Park...which is a beach/splash pad area, the Air Zoo, and also Fredrick Meijer Gardens, which has many outdoor kids activities.  We play in the yard often, and Nolan loves to run through the sprinkler!!!  Mason is a little afraid of the cold water coming out of the hose still:)  We also made a recent weekend trip up to Petoskey because Matt had a softball tournament.  We had a great time, but the tournament ended up getting rained out.  Because Matt had extra time off, we ended the bad weather weekend w/ a night @ Great Wolf Lodge in Traverse City.  The kids LOVED it, and Matt and I had fun also!!!  One of the benefits of the water park is that they allow alcoholic beverages within the water park, lol!!  We also took turns hanging out w/ the kids in the kiddy play area while each of us played on the bigger water slides!!  We have also visited "Nonnie's farm", the horse farm where my Mom works, and got to see all of the baby horses and all of the bigger horses.  Nolan's dream some day is to own a farm of his own, lol:)!!  We have had a busy summer so far w/ friends, and family, and life is good!!!  Last weekend I was also able to get away w/ my sister-in-law Beth, and a couple of friends to Traverse City for a girl's night of wine touring and tasting!!!  The tour was called "Diva's Uncorked," and it was an absolute blast!  It was a much needed night of fun girl time away from the kiddo's...something I don't get very often...thank you so much to my wonderful hubby for not minding;)!!  I will try to do a better job at keeping this blog more up to date...now it's to the point that I have so many pic's that I don't know where to start, lol!!!  So, for now, here are a few really cute video clips...hope you enjoy them as much as we do!
